Commissioner Collier said she hates dj~gonal parking, and I have to agree. It is not my
idea of an effective traffic calming devh.::e. On a street as busy and narrow as MacArthur
is in this section, it invites accidents and road rage.

I think you have to send the developer back to the drawing boards to eliminate a unit or
two. I haven't seen the math for the economics of the project, and don't know whether
you have either. Do you just take the developer's word for it that 22 units would render
the project infeasible? Make the five-plex a four-plex, or the duplex a single-family home;
use the freed-up space for parking and additional landscaping.

The right-turn-only from the development onto Herma Court is a good idea that could be
improved by two other changes: 1) making Herma one way, and 2) having no left turn
onto Broadmoor. Those should be easy enough to implement.

I don't want to discourage a well-conceived project. I want to be able to support it. I like
the design, generally speaking, and the architect's attention to detail.

But the parking and traffic issues must be resolved.

Thank you for the opportunity to be heard.

~A~

Barbara Templeton
