<br />City of San Leandro - Personnel Relations Board <br />Regular Meeting of Thursday, April 19, 2007 <br /> <br />Due to the absence of Vice-Chairperson Munoz, Member Myers served as "Acting" <br />Chairperson for the meeting. <br /> <br />Member Myers called the meeting to order in the Human Resources Department <br />Conference Room, City Hall, 2nd Floor, 835 East 14th Street, San Leandro, CA on <br />Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Justinian Caire, Human Resources Director and Executive Secretary, welcomed new <br />Board Member Anna Brannan to her first meeting, and then called the role. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Member Anna Brannan, Member Bill Jardin, Member Shirley McManus, <br />Member Kent Myers. <br /> <br />ABSENT: Vice-Chairperson Michael Munoz <br /> <br />It was MS (Myers/Jardin) to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 18, <br />2006. Motion carried 3 Ayes. 1 Abstained <br /> <br />The Board deferred approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting of March 8, 2007 as <br />there was not a quorum of members present who attended the Special Meeting of March <br />8, 2007. The Board deferred voting on the approval of minutes until the next regular <br />meeting in July. <br /> <br />Secretary Caire discussed that staff was recommending extending two of the employment <br />lists due to expire between the periods of April 20, 2007 to July 19, 2007. The <br />employment lists for Planner I-Business Development is due to expire on May 19, 2007 <br />and for Information Systems Application Specialist is due to expire on July 12, 2007. <br />Secretary Caire indicated that both the Planner I and Information Systems Application <br />Specialist lists have a good number of qualified applicants, and the Business Development <br />Manager and Information Services Manager are requesting to extend the list for six: <br />months <br /> <br />It was MS (JardinlMcManus) to extend the Planner I-Business Development employment <br />list for an additional six months until November 19, 2007 and the Information Systems <br />Application Specialist employment list for an additional six months until January 12, 2008. <br />Motion carried 4 Ayes. <br /> <br />Secretary Caire indicated that staff was recommending adopting revised specification <br />classifications of Community Services Officer for the Police Department, Facilities and <br />
