<br />IN THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-024 RDA <br /> <br />(2323/3059) <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />LEANDRO ADOPTING A RELOCATION IMPACT STUDY AND LAST RESORT <br />HOUSING PLAN FOR 2398 EAST 14TH STREET (APN: 077E-1525-003-04), <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A CONSULTING <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ASSOCIATED RIGHT OF WAY SERVICES, INC., <br />FOR THE PROVISION OF RELOCATION SERVICES FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED $79,500, AND APPROPRIATING $529,500 FROM THE LOW AND <br />MODERATE INCOME HOUSING FUND FOR RELOCATION COSTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro ("Agency") <br />adopted Resolution No. 2005-008 RDA on May 16, 2005, approving the acquisition of the <br />Islander Motel located at 2398 East 14th Street for development as affordable housing; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Agency prepared a Relocation Impact Study and Last Resort Housing <br />Plan for the Islander Motel Lodge Affordable Housing Project (the "Plan") as required by <br />California Relocation Assistance Law (Government Code 97260 et seq. and California Code of <br />Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 6), containing information on the anticipated impacts of the <br />conversion of the Islander Motel Lodge to affordable housing and proposed measures to mitigate <br />such impacts; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as required by California Relocation Assistance Law, the Agency provided <br />a draft copy of the Plan to residents of the Islander Motel and made the Plan available for public <br />reVIew; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Agency desires to enter into a Consulting Services Agreement <br />("Agreement") with Associated Right of Way Services Inc. for services in connection with <br />implementation of the Plan; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Agency is familiar with both the Plan and the Agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Director has recommended approval of both the Plan and <br />Agreement; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro does <br />RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Relocation Impact Study and Last Resort Housing Plan for the Islander Motel <br />Lodge Affordable Housing Project is hereby approved and adopted. <br />
