<br />~ectAssurancest <br /> <br />The Agency is committed to providing relocation assistance to each eligible displaced <br />household. In addition, it is the intent ofthe Agency that: <br /> <br />. This Relocation Impact Study shall be made available to the project occupants and to <br />other interested parties for their review and comment. <br /> <br />. All persons displaced as a result of an acquisition by the Agency shall receive fair and <br />equitable treatment. <br /> <br />. No project occupant will suffer disproportionate damages as a result of a project <br />proposed for the public benefit. <br /> <br />. No eligible residential occupant will be required to move unless adequate replacement <br />housing is available to the displaced person, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, or <br />national origin. <br /> <br />. No residential occupant will be required to relocate unless comparable, affordable <br />replacement housing is available with the assistance of the Agency's Relocation <br />Assistance Program. <br /> <br />. Through relocation advisory assistance efforts, each project occupant will be assisted by <br />a Relocation Advisor who will assist the occupant through each step of the relocation <br />process. <br /> <br />. The Agency will provide each eligible displaced household with (1) a Relocation <br />Assistance Handbook which will explain all relocation assistance available to the <br />occupant, and (2) written notice that explains the specific assistance options available to <br />the occupant. <br /> <br />. No eligible occupant will receive a gO-Day Notice to Vacate or be required to relocate <br />without first receiving a Letter of Entitlement for Relocation Assistance, a Relocation <br />Assistance Handbook, and referrals to available replacement sites. <br /> <br />. Relocation assistance payments will be made in a timely manner. Payments will be <br />based on the Agency's Housing Valuation Survey and "spend to get" requirements. <br /> <br />. Benefits and payments as required by State Law and Regulations will be provided to all <br />displaced occupants. <br /> <br />. The Agency's relocation assistance program is adequate to provide orderly and timely <br />relocation of all persons to be displaced. <br /> <br />. The Agency will not proceed with Relocation efforts until adequate funds have been <br />secured to pay all required moving costs, replacement housing payments, and other <br />relocation benefits, including Last Resort Housing payments. All relocation benefits will <br />be offered and administered by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro. <br /> <br />Relocation Impact Study and Last Resort Housing Plan <br />Page 5 <br />
