Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Economic Development and Redevelopment Committee Meeting of January <br />13,2000. Vice Mayor Galvan reported on the meeting highlights. <br /> <br />2. Finance Committee Meeting of January 26, 2000. Vice Mayor Galvan <br />reported on the meeting highlights. <br /> <br />3. Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of January 25, 2000. Vice <br />Mayor Galvan reported on the meeting highlights. <br /> <br />It was noted the City Council was not interested in the Rules & <br />Communications Committee reviewing positions for the City Council to <br />take regarding State Ballot Measures. The City Council recommended <br />that, if a City Council Member has an interest in the full City Council <br />taking a position on a certain ballot measure, the City Council Member <br />sponsor the issue and bring it to the full City Council in open session for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered for approval <br />by the City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove items from <br />the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. Items listed on the Consent <br />Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br /> <br />The Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br /> <br />MlS/C Galvan and Lothrop. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br />A. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 18, 2000. Approved as submitted. <br /> <br />B. Resolution No. 2000-13, Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Apply for <br />an Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Grant in the Amount of <br />$60,000 to Fund the Technical Analysis for a Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge and <br />Bike Trail Between Oyster Bay Regional Park and the Port of Oakland, and the <br />City Council's Endorsement of the Project (provides for grant funds for a bridge <br />and bike trail technical analysis of the final gap closure of Martin Luther King <br />Junior Shoreline to Oyster Bay Trail from the end of the Port of Oakland's bike <br />trail to Oyster Bay Regional Park). Resolution No. 2000-14, Resolution Designating Restricted Parking, 2-Hour <br />Parking, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., No Exceptions, Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code, Coburn Court (establishes 2-hour parking restriction on <br />a portion of Coburn Court, west of San Leandro Boulevard).
