PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one hour. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. A. Jennifer Neira. Youth Advisorv Commissioner, addressed the City Council, recommending the Summer Intern Program be reinstated. She also recommended that it could be reduced to be more cost effective, if necessary. She invited the City Council to attend the "Peace by Piece" Summit on May 17, 2000. 6. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS The City Manager addressed the Heron Bay Assessment comment and indicated he will have the City Engineer put together a report regarding the issue. He indicated the amount of money the City collects is related only to the maintenance of the open space there. In response to comments made about the Summer Intern Program, the City Manager indicated that issue will be discussed during the Budget discussions. Council Member Loeffler suggested the City Council Finance Committee review the Summer Intern Program. Vice Mayor Glaze commented that he would like the issue to go to the City Council Finance Committee, as the Summer Intern Program has always been a worthwhile program. 7. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS A.
