PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. When you address the <br />City Council, you should fiU out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the <br />order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and addresses <br />obtained. <br /> <br />A. Matter of A-98-7; Reclassification (of the Former Faria Brothers Site) from <br />Commercial General (CG) to Residential, Single-Family, with a Planned <br />Development (RS(pD)); and PD-99-5; Planned Development; to Construct a New <br />Church Sanctuary with a Capacity of 807 People to Be Built On-Site and a 154- <br />Car Parking Lot Next to the Existing church Property (This is a Revised Version <br />of the Proposal Presented at the October 28th Planning Commission Hearing.); 577 <br />Manor Boulevard; Assessor's Parcel Number 80H-1520-3-5; G. Mortara, Faith <br />Fellowship Foursquare Church, Applicant and Property Owner; CG Community <br />General. <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Hanson <br />Hom, Planning Director, and Beth Greene, Project Planner, presented an overview <br />of the project. <br /> <br />Pastor Mortara and Architect Sung gave further details of the project and <br />encouraged the support of the City Council. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the Public Hearing and, having no speaker requests, closed the <br />Public Hearing without objection from the City Council. <br /> <br />Council discussion ensued regarding the size of the congregation, parking plan, <br />and impacts to the neighborhood. Issues regarding future growth and future <br />parking capacity were also discussed, as well as the removal of the Faria Bros. <br />building which perhaps could be used for parking and/or landscaping. <br /> <br />The City Attorney, based on comments made regarding the removal of the Faria <br />Bros. building, suggested additional language to "Condition 9.A," which would <br />read: ". . . or the building will be tom down and an alternative development <br />provided upon written approval of the Development Services Director." <br />
