Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro <br />Approving an Owner Participation Agreement (OP A) Between the San Leandro <br />Redevelopment Agency and Lockaway Storage for the Development of Property <br />Located in the Plaza 2 Redevelopment Area at 1080 Davis Street for Construction <br />of a Self-Storage Facility; Assessor's Parcel Number 75-0123-021-01 (authorizes <br />development of an 8,300-square-foot, two-story self-storage facility to be owned <br />and operated by Lockaway Storage). Cost: None <br /> <br />Jennifer Andersen gave a staff report and urged the Agency's support for the <br />Owner Participation Agreement between the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br />and Lockaway Storage. <br /> <br />Council Member Lothrop indicated she was glad to see the suggestions made by <br />the Planning Commission were incorporated into the design. She shared her <br />concern with the way the rest of the area may be developed in the future. <br /> <br />In response to questions by Vice Mayor Glaze, the developer responded to <br />requirements for combustible materials and noted there will be surveillance <br />cameras on site and renters must sign a Lease Agreement which prohibits the <br />storage of hazardous materials. It was also noted the building would have <br />automatic sprinklers installed. <br /> <br />In response to the Agency's concerns, staff indicated, if there were substantial <br />changes in the building's design, the changes would be brought back to the Agency <br />for approval.
