<br />Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and <br />San Leandro Economic Development Agency Joint Meeting <br />September 5, 2000 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one <br />hour. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and <br />submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official <br />record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments <br />related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. <br /> <br />A. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council regarding <br />page 65 of the Agenda packet, referring to the Redevelopment Agency Minutes. <br />He expressed concerns with how the Public Comments section was handled during <br />the meeting, indicating he was not allowed to speak. He said the issue he wanted <br />to discuss was the hotel and self-storage facility on Lewelling Boulevard. <br /> <br />5. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />6. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />1. The Mayor reported that the Alameda County Congestion Management <br />Agency, ACTA Board, and Alameda County Waste Management Authority <br />did not meet in August. <br /> <br />2. She reported that the Air Quality Management Board did meet, and she has <br />prepared a memo for the Chamber of Commerce and interested parties <br />regarding the shuttle funding which was not granted during this round of <br />funding requests for the Air Board Mobile Source Committee. She stated they <br />are preparing a program for the month of September to address shuttles in <br />general around employment centers. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Airport Issues Committee Meeting of July 24, 2000. The City Council <br />accepted the report provided in the Agenda packet. <br /> <br />2. Economic Development and Redevelopment Committee Meeting of July 13, <br />2000. The City Council accepted the report provided in the Agenda <br />packet. <br />
