He noted <br />that Sharon Cornu of the CLC offered to meet with the City, and he <br />encouraged the City to do so prior to the June 4 Council meeting. <br />Councilmember ProIa reminded the Council of an eight-page draft ordinance <br />submitted to the Council by the CLC, which has been tested in the courts. <br />He suggested that using this draft ordinance as a template could sav~ staff a <br />lot oftime. Councilmember ProIa hoped for a cpr without a cap. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos commented that EBASE has presented a document as well. <br />Vice Mayor Grant indicated that the Finance Committee and staff have <br />copies of the EBASE document. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Grant noted a revision to the Finance Committee Highlights to <br />reflect the correct spelling of Sharon Cornu's name. <br /> <br />Councilmember Souza suggested that when this matter comes before the <br />Council, she would like to have some information on how compliance with <br />the ordinance will be monitored. <br /> <br />By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. <br /> <br />b. Schedule approval of investment report for the quarter ended March 31, <br />2007. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Grant called attention to the listing of WalMart Stores in the <br />investment report. <br /> <br />By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. <br /> <br />12. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Gregory commented that he traveled to Sacramento today for Chamber <br />Legislative Days, and San Leandro is keeping State legislators informed of the community's <br />needs. Councilmember Gregory also reported on the economic forecast from the Anderson <br />School he attended with Mayor Santos and staff last Friday. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Grant commented that tonight is the last Council meeting for Community <br />Development Director Hanson Horn. She remarked that Mr. Horn was instrumental in the <br />development of the East 14th South Area Strategy, and she wished him well in his new <br />position at the City of Sunnyvale. Vice Mayor Grant commented that she would contact <br />Councilrnember Stephens to schedule a discussion on Inc1usionary Housing. She noted that <br />while affordable housing policies come with sacrifices, they do not have to sacrifice good <br />policy and community planning. Vice Mayor Grant recalled that the Council had a two~year <br />debate on the issue, and the new members of the Council could benefit from a short briefing <br />
