<br />MINUTES <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-May 21, 2007 <br /> <br />. Page 2 <br /> <br />A. Matter of Proposed Adjustments to City Fees, Service Charges, and Taxes for Fiscal <br />Year 2007-08 (allows for annual increases in fees charged for services by City <br />departments, Emergency Medical Services Tax, and Business License Tax, to be <br />effective July 1, 2007). <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />Jermanis gave background on the item and introduced Finance Director Jesse Baloca. <br />Mr. Baloca gave a short PowerPoint presentation, providing information on the <br />adjustments to fees, service charges and taxes proposed for FY 2007-08. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, expressing <br />concern that the public is not allowed to provide comments on the City Council's <br />discussion. Mr. Filipovich commented on the data he feels should be included as part of <br />this item. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos informed Mr. Filipovich that he would be provided with a copy of the FY <br />2007 -08 proposed budget when it becomes available. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without objection, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />. Resolution No. 2007-067, Resolution Amending Title 6, Chapter 4 of the San <br />Leandro Administrative Code Relating to Fees and Charges for Services Provided <br />by City Departments (adjusts existing fees and adds four new fees). Ordinance No. 2007-011, an Ordinance Amending Title 2, Chapter 13, Section <br />2-13-140 of the San Leandro Municipal Code to Provide for an Adjustment to the <br />Emergency Medical Services Tax (EMS Tax) Based on the Annual Consumer <br />Price Index (CPI) Increase (increases the EMS Tax from $13.24 to $13.69, by <br />3.44%, per Benefit Unit).
