The General Fund accounts for $80.8 million, ($77.5 million <br />operating and $3.2 million capital) or 72%, of the City's Budget. No modifications to the <br />Proposed Budget have been made since the May 14, 2007 City Council presentation. <br /> <br />The FY 2007-08 recommendations of the Recreation and Parks Commission went to Council on <br />June 4th reaffirming the 2nd year grant cycle for community assistance funding, and to provide a <br />$25k funding level for Community Benefit Programs. <br /> <br />Also included with this report is a memorandum which explains and establishes the GANN <br />Appropriations Limit, as required by the California Government Code. <br /> <br />Current Citv Council Policy <br />. City of San Leandro Financial Goals Statement regarding Budget Administration. <br />. Article V of the City of San Leandro Charter requires the City Manager to submit the <br />Proposed Budget to the City Council at least thirty-five days prior to the beginning of each <br />fiscal year and for Council to adopt the Budget following a Public Hearing, by no later than <br />June 30th. <br /> <br />Previous Citv Council Actions <br />On May 14, 2007, the City Council held a budget work session. On May 21, 2007, the City <br />Council held a public hearing, and approved the proposed FY 2007-08 adjustments to fees and <br />charges for .services provided.
