Labor and land in Yang Chun is currently valued at <br />40% of what a large metropolitan city costs. Also, the city is known for its tourist <br />attractions, mandarin oranges, jelly and pudding snacks, rosewood furniture, lacquer <br />ware, knives, scissors, and other light industries. <br /> <br />A Friendly City relationship will provide opportunities for professional exchanges <br />within our business community, as well as foster economic growth and strong <br />international relationships between both communities. Our goal would be to obtain <br />reciprocal business contracts between businesses in Yang Chun and San Leandro. <br /> <br />Local businesses such as Ghiradelli, Otis Spunkmeyer, ACI, and even San Leandro <br />Hospital, as well as many other businesses could benefit and grow from trade <br />agreements between the two cities. <br /> <br />With an Asian population in the City of San Leandro that has been growing rapidly <br />over the past five years, now is the time to reach out and establish a Friendly City <br />relationship with Yang Chun, in order for our business community to grow as well. <br /> <br /> <br />ctJ-~ <br /> <br />Diana Gentry, CMP <br />Chief Executive Officer <br /> <br />262 Davis Street.
