Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Grant reported on the Alameda County Housing Authority. She noted that <br />San Leandro has been receiving more complaints about Section 8 landlords and tenants. <br />Vice Mayor Grant stated that in September, the Housing Authority would provide an <br />overview of the requirements of Section 8 landlords and the expectations of Section 8 <br />tenants. She commented that she would like to invite the City's Housing staff to attend. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos reported on the EBDA Personnel Committee and LA VWMA Committee. <br />He reported that the LA VWMA Committee would be dissolved, and the Personnel <br />Committee has recommended that the personnel matter be referred to the full Authority <br />Board. The General Manager will be leaving at the end of the year, and the Personnel <br />Committee recommended that his contract not be extended. Mayor Santos commented <br />that a future Council work session on EBDA may be needed. <br /> <br />B. Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />C. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. City and San Leandro Unified School District Liaison Committee Meeting of May <br />31, 2007. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br /> <br />a. Pursue adoption of a truancy ordinance for implementation prior to the <br />beginning ofthe school year. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak commented that the same item was presented to <br />the City and San Lorenzo School District Liaison Committee. She reported <br />that the San Lorenzo School Board was very supportive of the ordinance. <br />Councilmember Starosciak requested that the matter be sent to the Youth <br />
