<br />Aerial Treatment Cooperative Purchase with EBRPD 2 <br /> <br />July 2, 2007 <br /> <br />Current City Council Policy <br />Not Applicable <br /> <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />On June 19,2006, Council adopted Resolution Nos. 2006-073 and 2006-074 which accepted the <br />environmental findings for the Spartina Eradication Program, and approved the grant agreement <br />between the City and the State Coastal Conservancy related to funding the City's portion of the <br />program. <br /> <br />On July 10, 2006, Council approved Resolution No. 2006-078 approving the aerial treatment of <br />Spartina without competitive bidding by means of piggybacking on East Bay Regional Park <br />District's low bid. <br /> <br />City Council Committee Review and Action <br />Not Applicable <br /> <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br />Not Applicable <br /> <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />Not Applicable <br /> <br />Environmental Review <br />An Environmental Impact Report was previously prepared for the eradication program, which <br />was anticipated to occur over a three to four year time frame. Informational <br />letters will be sent to all of the homes and business around the shoreline marsh areas. <br /> <br />Large 24" x 36" laminated signs regarding the closure of the Shoreline trail will be posted at four <br />locations: 1) Monarch Bay Drive Bridge; 2) Heron Bay entrance at the end of Lewelling Blvd.: <br />3) San Lorenzo Creek entrance behind Heron Bay homes; and 4) San Lorenzo Creek Bridge. <br /> <br />Informational signs regarding the Invasive Spartina have been posted at three sites on the <br />shoreline: 1) on the trail at the end of the Golf Course; 2) at the Heron Bay entrance bridge, <br />
