<br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AERIAL TREATMENT OF SPARTINA, A SHORELINE <br />INVASIVE SPECIES, WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING BY MEANS OF <br />PIGGYBACKING ON EAST BAY REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT'S LOW BID <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the use of cooperative purchasing by piggybacking on the competitive bid <br />conducted by East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) to provide aerial treatment of Spartina <br />Alterniflora found in the City's marshlands is in the best interest of the City. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended approval of said cooperative purchasing <br />arrangement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. That competitive bidding is hereby waived as provided in San Leandro Municipal Code <br />Section 1-6-305, and said arrangement is hereby approved; <br /> <br />2.
