Senior Center Phase 1 P&S 4 July 2, 2007 Fiscal Impact . Phase 1 is projected to cost $5,538,000, which includes land acquisition, consultant design fees for the parking lot and buildings, and construction . The Phase 1 construction projected cost is $2,340,000 . This contract will be funded by the following: o $475,893 CDBG funds allocated to Account No. 165-43-192 o $812,438 Hospital funds in Account No. 210-43-192 o $191,000 General funds in Account No. 210-43-191 o $96,224 HUD funds in Account No. 150-43-191 o $456,459 Redevelopment funds in Account No. 962-43-192 o $291,000 in 2007 Fiscal Year CDBG funds allocated in the City's June budget adoption o Additional funding will be requested as needed with award of the construction contract . The Public Works Department estimated that the Phase 1 improvements will increase annual maintenance costs by $27,250 . Maintenance costs for the adjacent parking lot on 13889 East 14th Street will be shared between the Hospital and City Bud2:et Authoritv . The 2004-05 Fiscal Year budget adopted by Resolution No. 2004-192 on June 21, 2004 provided the following funding: CIP funds in Account No. 210-43-191 and CDBG funds in Account No. 165-43-191 . HUD funding in Account No. 150-43-191 . The 2006-07 Fiscal Year budget adopted by Resolution No. 2006-059 on June 19, 2006 provided the following funding: Hospital contribution funds in Account No. 210-43-102, CDBG funds in Account No. 165-43-192, and Redevelopment Agency Joint Project Area funds in Account No. 962-43-192 . The 2007-08 Fiscal Year budget allocated additional CDBG funding to this project Attachments None CONCLUSION Staff recommends that the City Council consent to the use of the Redevelopment Agency funds and approve the plans and specifications and call for bids for the subject project.
