ACTIA Bicycle/Pedestrian Countywide Discretionary Fund Program Cycle 3 Grant Funding Agreement ACTIA No. A07-0013 ATTACHMENT A PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND TASK BREAKDOWN Project Sponsor: Project Title: City of San Leandro San Leandro Bay Trail Slough Bridge ACTIA Project Number: A07 -0013 Grant Notice to Proceed Date: July 1,2007 Total ACTIA Funds Awarded to Project: $ 1,000,000 (including $250,000 of Cycle 1 Measure B Bicycle-Pedestrian grant funds) Total Project Cost: $ 3,030,000 Project Sponsor Matching Funds: Amount $ 2,030,000 Source Various Othcr sources Percentage: Total ACTIA Funds Awarded to Project/Total Project Cost: 33.0 % Project Description: In general, the Project consists of constructing a new bridge ovcr the San Leandro Slough for pedestrian and bicycle use as described in the project application submittcd by the Project Sponsor to ACTL\. Specifically, the project will involve the construction of an approximately 300 foot bridge which will cross the San Leandro Slough between the Port of Oakland/Oakland Airport and the Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline in the City of San Leandro. As part of this project, the City will also construct a connecting trail segment of approximately 600 feet, to the north of the bridgc. The project will connect two existing segments of the Bay Trail. The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) is an essential partner in coordinating the planning, development, and implementation of this project. EBRPD owns, operates and maintains the Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline Park and the Bay Trail segment within the park. The City of San Leandro will maintain the bridge and connecting trail when completed. The Port of Oakland will maintain the trail segment connecting to the north side of the bridge. The Measure B funds authorized by this funding agrcement are carmarked primarily for construction, as all other phases are fully funded.
