IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2007-091 (2926) RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE USE OF REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FUNDS AND APPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICA nONS AND CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE SENIOR CENTER PHASE 1 IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 06-210-18-116 Recitals WHEREAS, California Redevelopment Law at Health and Safety Code Section 33445 provides that a redevelopment agency may, with the consent of the legislative body, pay all or a portion of the cost of the construction of any building, facility, structure, or other improvement, which is publicly owned either within or without the project area; and WHEREAS, the Agency has determined that funds are available from the Alameda County/City of San Leandro Redevelopment Project Area to assist in financing, in part, the Senior Center Phase 1 Improvements, Project No. 06-210-18-116; and WHEREAS, the Agency has made the findings required by Section 33445 and has determined that no other means of financing the installation of the Senior Center Phase 1 Improvements, Project No. 06-210-18-116, is available to the community in that the only other possible source of funding is through the use of the City's General Fund, which is pledged for the provision of essential City services for the residents of the City. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro has reviewed and considered the Categorical Exemption prepared for the Senior Center Phase 1 Improvements, Project No. 06-210-18-116, and any comments received, and hereby finds that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER, as follows: Section 1. The City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby specifically finds that all of the facts stated above are true and correct. Section 2. The City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby consents to the allocation and expenditure of up to $456,459 in funds issued by the Agency for the Senior Center Phase 1 Improvements, Project No. 06-210-18-116. Section 3. The City Council of the City of San Leandro declares that the Specifications, Special Provisions, and Plans for said project are hereby approved; and It is further RESOLVED, that bids are hereby called for and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice thereof once in the official newspaper of this City.
