Continued development and expansion of the City's Advanced Traffic Signal System <br /> <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br /> <br />. On March 7, 2005 by Resolution No. 2005-025, the City Council approved a contractual <br />services agreement with DKS Associates, Inc. for design of the Traffic Signal System <br />Improvements <br />. On June 19, 2006 by Resolution No. 2006-068, the City Council authorized an application <br />for the federal CMAQ improvement program funding for the ATSS improvement project <br /> <br />City Council Committee Review and Action <br /> <br />Not Applicable <br /> <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br /> <br />. Goal 16: Streets and Highways. Improve major transportation arteries for circulation in and <br />around the city <br />. Policy 16.02: Level of Service. Use Level of Service (LOS) "D" as the minimum acceptable <br />service standard for streets and intersections, except as otherwise noted in the Transportation <br />Element <br />. Action 16.02-A: Capital Improvement Program. Prepare and annually update the Capital <br />Improvement Program for transportation facilities, including the projects identified in the <br />General Plan <br />. The project will improve control and responsiveness of traffic signals at 7 of the 31 <br />intersections listed in Table 4-3 (Levels of Service at Major San Leandro Intersections) and 2 <br />of the 12 intersections listed in Table 4-4 (Planned Street Improvements in San Leandro) of <br />the General Plan <br /> <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br /> <br />Encroachment permits will be obtained from the following agencies: <br /> <br />.
