IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2007-102 (2217) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY TO ACCEPT A TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $126,000 TO FUND THE INSTALLATION OF VEHICLE SPEED FEEDBACK SIGNS ON NINE STREET SEGMENTS Recitals WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro submitted a grant application to the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for federal funding to address traffic safety problems; and WHEREAS, the OTS has approved the grant application to fund the installation of the vehicle speed feedback signs on the following nine (9) street segments in the City: . Aurora Drive between West Avenue l30th and Marina Boulevard-James Garfield School . Best Avenue between San Leandro Boulevard and East 14th Street-Ranked No.1 in 2004 Traffic Calming Cycle . Monterey Boulevard between Floresta Boulevard and Carmel Way-James Monroe School . Dutton Avenue between Merle Court and Mitchell Avenue-Roosevelt School . Dutton Avenue between Dutton Court and Beverly Avenue-Washington School . Juniper Street between Willow Avenue and Sagewood Avenue-James Madison School . Corvallis Street between Esser Avenue and Farnsworth Street-Corvallis School . Dayton Avenue between Dayton Court and Wiley Street-Dayton School . Fargo Avenue between Edgemoor Street and Beatty Street-Washington Manor School; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the acceptance of said grant. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with OTS for a traffic safety grant in an amount not to exceed $126,000.
