Subsequent to that public comment review pedod, a Final EIR was prepared <br />and then distributed on August 17, 2007. This letter was not considered in the <br />preparation of this staff report, resolutions or ordinances attached hereto. The City <br />Council may consider this information that was received outside of the environmental <br />review process. <br /> <br />Code Compliance Review <br />Not applicable. <br /> <br />Board/Commission Findin2s <br />Not applicable. <br /> <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br /> <br />EIR <br /> <br />. In accordance with CEQA, the City of San Leandro conducted a public scoping session <br />to allow agencies and individuals an opportunity to state what should be included in the <br />environmental evaluation. A legal notice for the public scoping meeting was placed in <br />the Daily Review advertising the Planning Commission hearing of May 25, 2006 at <br />which time a scoping meeting was held at San Leandro City Hall. <br /> <br />. A Notice of Preparation was prepared and distributed by the City to responsible agencies <br />and interested citizens on May 15 and ending on June 14, 2006. On June 5, 2007, the <br />Draft EIR was submitted to the State Clearinghouse for distribution to responsible <br />agencies, and notification of its availability was made to all interested parties. <br /> <br />. The 45-day public review period for the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) <br />began on June 5, 2007 and ended July 19, 2007. During this timeframe, the document <br />was distributed to and reviewed by various state, regional, and local agencies, as well as <br />by interested organizations and individuals. Comments related to the DEIR were directed <br />to be made to the City, and oral and written testimony was also received at the Planning <br />Commission meeting held on July 12, 2007 on the Draft Environmental Impact Report <br />for the Downtown Transit-Oriented Development (TaD) Strategy. A total of eleven (11) <br />comment letters were received on the Draft EIR. Of these, six (6) were from public <br />agencies, one (1) was from an organization and four (4) were from individuals. Copies of <br />the DEIR were also made available to the public on the City of San Leandro website at: <br />http://www.ci.san-leandro.ca.us/CDTODOview.asphttp://www and at the San Leandro <br />Main Library. <br /> <br />TO D Strategy <br /> <br />. Three very successful Community Meetings were held during the I5-month period from <br />January 2006 through May 2007. Meetings were held in June and September of 2006 <br />and March of 2007 with an overall attendance of 240 area residents. Representatives <br />from AC Transit, BART, MTC and ABAG attended the Community Meetings during the <br />Open House portion of the meeting to provide information to the public. Spanish <br />
