The History Walk Signage project was one component of a larger project for downtown pedestrian and lighting improvements . The FY 2003-04 CIP that was approved by the City Council in June 2003, allocated $2.5 million dollars for downtown improvements, which would be funded by the Plaza 2002 Tax Allocation Bond (Plaza Fund 961) . $255,000 has been allocated to account No. 961-83-061, which was established for construction ofthe Phase 1 History Walk Signage project .
