Page 5 of6

City/SLUSD Liaison Committee Highlights

July 23, 2007

Ms. Livermore estimated that approximately 30% of the 3,431 units could be
developed by 2015. Vice President Cassidy commented that the District would
need to look at additional school sites.

7. Discussion Regarding Joint Meeting of City of San Leandro, San Leandro Unified
and San Lorenzo Unified School District Liaison Committees

Mr. Jermanis reported that at the City Council and San Leandro Unified School
District Board of Trustees joint work session, interest was expressed in a joint
meeting between the two City/School District Liaison Committees. Vice
President Cassidy indicated that he would like to see a proposed agenda for such a
meeting. He suggested including such topics as Shape-Up San Leandro and Safe
Passages. Mayor Santos expressed concern that a meeting of the two Liaison
Committees would result in a quorum of the City Council. Mr. Jermanis stated
that he would consult with the City Attorney about this issue.

8. Public Comments

Morgan Mack-Rose commented favorably on the Committee's more frequent
meetings. Ms. Mack-Rose expressed concern that the City is not collecting the
maximum school fees allowed from developers and echoed Vice President
Cassidy's concerns regarding the TOD's impacts on schools.

Dave Ellington commented that the poor condition of Burrell Field makes it a
hazard to both participants and spectators. Mr. Ellington stated that he would like
to see Burrell Field be a multi-sport venue. He commented that interest groups
have been pulled together in support of this idea, and there will be a meeting of
interested persons on August 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Englander to discuss the future
of Burrell Field. San Francisco architect Toby Long has created a proposed
design.

Richard Ellison commented that he coaches football and track at SLHS. Mr.
Ellison stressed the importance of Burrell Field to student athletes and the need
for quality facilities in order for San Leandro athletes to compete with other local
athletes.

Gerald Shovlin expressed concern regarding the safety of bicycle routes in San
Leandro, particularly at the intersection of Estudillo and Bancroft.

9. Committee Member Comments

Trustee Davis commented that most bike lanes have signage to alert riders when
they are going the wrong way.
