F. Section 903.12 of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby deleted. <br />G. Sections 903.3 -Materials of the Uniform Plumbing Code - is hereby deleted and replaced to <br />read as follows: <br />Vent fittings shall be cast iron, galvanized malleable iron or galvanized steel, copper, brass, <br />stainless steel 304 or 316L, or other approved materials, except that no galvanized malleable iron <br />or galvanized steel, or 304 stainless steel shall be used underground and shall be kept at least six <br />(6) inches (152 mm) aboveground. Stainless steel 304 pipe and fittings shall not be installed <br />underground and shall be kept at least 6 inches (152 mm) aboveground. <br />H. Section 1003.1 -Materials of of the Uniform Plumbing Code - is <br />Each trap, except for traps within an interceptor or similar device, shall be self-cleaning. Traps <br />for bathtubs, showers, lavatories, sinks, laundry tubs, floor drains, urinals, drinking fountains, <br />dental units, and similar fixtures shall be of standard design and weight and shall be of cast brass, <br />cast iron, lead, PP, ar other approved material. An exposed and readily accessible drawn-brass <br />tubing trap, not less than 17 B&S Gauge (0.045 inch) (1.1 mm), maybe used on fixtures <br />discharging domestic sewage. <br />L Section 1101.3 Materials Uses is hereby deleted and replaced to read as follows: <br />Rainwater piping placed within the interior of a building or run within a vent or shaft shall be of <br />cast iron, galvanized steel, wrought iron, brass, copper, lead, stainless steel 304 or 316E <br />(stainless steel 304 pipe and fittings shall not be installed underground and shall be kept at least <br />six inches (152 mm) aboveground), or other approved materials, and changes in direction shall <br />conform to the requirements of Section 706.0. <br />J. Section 1102.12 -Materials of the Uniform Plumbing Code - is hereby deleted and replaced <br />to read as follows: <br />The inside of conductors installed above ground level shall be of seamless copper water tube, <br />Type K, L, or M; Schedule 40 copper pipe or Schedule 40 copper alloy pipe; Type DWV copper <br />drainage tube; service weight cast-iron pipe or hubless cast-iron soil pipe; standard weight <br />galvanized steel pipe; stainless steel 304 or 316E (stainless stee1304 pipe and fittings shall not <br />be installed underground and shall be kept at least 6 inches (152 mm) aboveground). <br />Section 7-5-920: FEES FOR PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS. Section 103.4 of the <br />Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby deleted and replaced by Section 108.2 of Article 1 Section <br />108 of the San Leandro Municipal Code <br />Section 7-5-925: ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT. In order to provide the <br />proper administration and enforcement of this Code, the provisions hereinafter set forth shall be <br />applicable. <br />
