IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO ORDINANCE ND. 2007- ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE 10 AND RE-ENACTING ARTICLE l 0 TO CHAPTER 5 OF TITLE VII OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE, SAFETY ASSESSMENT PLACARDS SAFETY ASSESSMENT PLACARDS The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Article 10 Title VII, Chapter 5 of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby deleted. Section 2. Article 10 is hereby re-enacted to Chapter 5 of Title VII of the San Leandro Municipal Code to read as follows: "ARTICLE 10. SAFETY ASSESSMENT PLACARDS Section 7-5-1000: Intent. This Article establishes standard placards to be used to indicate the condition of a structure for continued occupancy. The Article further authorizes the Building Official and his or her authorized representatives to post the appropriate placard at each entry point to a building or structure upon completion of a safety assessment. Section 7-5-1005: APPLICATION OF PROVISIONS. The provisions of this Article are applicable to al] buildings and structures of all occupancies regulated by the City of San Leandro. Section 7-5-1010: DEFINITIONS. Safety assessment is a visual, non-destructive examination of a building ar structure for the purpose of determining the condition for continued occupancy. Section 7-5-1015: PLACARDS. (a) The following are verbal descriptions of the official placards to be used to designate the condition for continued occupancy of buildings or structures. (I) Inspected -Lawful Occupancy Permitted to be posted on any building or structure wherein no apparent structural hazard has been found. This placard is not intended to mean that there is no damage to the building or structure.
