IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-133 (1221) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE LIVERMORE-AMADOR VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT AGENCY <br />FOR THE ABANDONMENT OF A STEEL PLATE ON LEWELLING BOULEVARD <br />WEST OF FARNSWORTH STREET <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, a steel plate used to shore a j acking pit was left buried in the ground <br />approximately ten (10) feet below grade to the west of the intersection of Lewelling Boulevard <br />and Farnsworth Street as part of the 2003 LAVWMA Export Pipeline Project; and <br />WHEREAS, removal of said plate may damage the existing utilities and roadway and <br />would disrupt traffic on Lewelling Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, an Agreement related to the abandonment of said steel plate was created <br />between the City of San Leandro and the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management <br />Agency, a copy of which is attached hereto, has been presented to the City Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and execution thereof by the City Manager is <br />hereby authorized. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Grant and passed and adopted this 1st day of October, <br />2007, by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Grant, Gregory, Prola, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Santos ~~) <br />NOES: None ~~) <br />ABSENT: None ~~) <br />ATTEST: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
