MINUTES Page 7 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-October 1, 2007 <br />The City Council called for a public hearing on November 5, 2007, to adopt <br />t>be State-mandated codes and related amendments by reference in the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code. <br />E. Resolution No. 2007-131, Resolution Amending Title 8, Chapter 7, Section 8.7.120 of <br />the San Leandro Administrative Code Relating to the Neighborhood Traffic Calming <br />Program (changes the type of voting method used to approve traffic calming <br />measures). (2318) <br />F. Resolution No. 2007-132, Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Apply for a <br />Recreational Trails Program Grant for $395,000 to Assist in Funding the Construction <br />of the Bay Trail Slough Bridge Project, Project No. 144-39-012 (authorizes the City <br />Manager to apply for a grant by the application deadline of October 1, 2007, to assist in <br />funding construction of the Bay Trail Slough Bridge project). Resolution No. 2007-133, Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an <br />Agreement with the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency <br />(LAVWMA) for the Abandonment of a Steel Plate on Levelling Boulevard West of <br />Farnsworth Street (authorizes the City Manager to execute a Steel Plate Reimbursement <br />and Liability Agreement that permits LAVWMA to leave a shoring plate buried in the <br />ground). (1221) <br />H. Resolution No. 2007-134, Resolution Approving Parcel Map 9600 for 1951 Fairway <br />Drive, San Leandro, Assessor's Parcel No. 077A-0646-005-02, Owner and Subdivider: <br />Fairway San Leandro, LLC (provides for the subdivision of the subject site consisting of <br />approximately 17.6 acres into two parcels). (3126) <br />9. ITEMS REMOVED FROM CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker per item, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. <br />8.B. Resolution No. 2007-135, Resolution Approving Property Owner Mr. Mike Rogalia's <br />Request to Rescind the Landmark Status of the Redwood Trees Located at 651 Juana <br />Avenue, San Leandro (amends Resolution No. 2003-251 to remove redwood trees at <br />651 Juana Avenue from the City's Historic Sites Register). (2056) <br />Counci lmember Gregory noted that there was a process to have properties rescinded <br />from landmark status, and at that time the owner did not undergo the process. <br />Councilmember Gregory expressed concern about destroying healthy trees, but <br />acknowledged the time and expense of maintaining the trees. <br />Mr. Jermanis commented that in its research of the documentation, staff was unable to <br />determine how the redwood trees came to be listed as historic landmarks. The Library- <br />Historical Commission made its recommendation based on the property owner's <br />
