DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 7 <br />City of San Leandro City Council, San Leandro Economic Development Agency and San Leandro Redevelopment <br />November 5, 2007 <br />Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Jermanis complimented Mayor Santos and Councilmember Stephens, as well as Assistant <br />City Manager Hollister, for a successful trip to China. He commented that the presentation <br />given this evening was well-done and very informative. <br /> <br />City Attorney Williams added her compliments to Mayor Santos and Councilmember <br />Stephens for a successful trip. <br /> <br /> <br /> 7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Councilmembers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public may request the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar by filling out a speaker card and <br />submitting it to the City Clerk prior to the calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent <br />Calendar. Items remaining on the Consent Calendar will be considered for approval under <br />one motion. <br /> <br />Public Comments on Item 8.D.: <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident <br />, addressed the City Council, asking three questions: <br />1) w; 2) what is the total amount of Redevelopment <br />debt; and 3) what is the total amount of the City payroll. <br /> <br />End of Public Comments on Item 8.D. <br /> <br />Mr. Jermanis commented that the City budget is approximately $110 million. He estimated <br />that the Redevelopment Agency debt is approximately $20 million. Mr. Jermanis stated that <br />he would follow up with Mr. Filipovich and the City Council with the exact information. <br /> <br />Councilmember Souza addressed Item 8.B., expressing a concern about the BID Advisory <br />Board appointment process. She requested that in the future, she would like the Council to be <br />notified in advance when there is an opening and be allowed to review the applications and <br />have an opportunity to provide their input. Mr. Jermanis stated that staff will do this in the <br />future. <br /> <br />No amendment to Consent Calendar. <br /> <br /> <br /> 8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br /> <br />
