Examples of control measures include, but are not limited to: routing of
pavement and roof runoff through vegetated swales, vegetated filter strips or
landscaped areas in lieu of direct hydraulic connection to the storm drain system;
structural control measures, such as oil/water separator(s), sand filter(s), fossil
filter(s) or other methods that may be proposed by the applicant and approved by the
City Engineer to intercept and pretreat storm water prior to discharging to the storm
drain system; and/or other Best Management Practices that the applicant may
propose. On projects of this type, this can typically be handled by modifying the
existing on-site catch basins to accommodate fossil filters.
N.
