Kell -Smith & Associates <br />Date: November 1, 2007 <br />RE: Update on San Leandro Residential Airport Noise Insulation Program <br />William, <br />Just a brief update on the program status for the November 2 Airport Committee Meeting: <br />PHASE <br />G.E. Chen Construction Entered into an Agreement with the City of San Leandro on May 2. The <br />agreement was generated through a Change Order approved by the City and accepted by the Port <br />of Oakland to provide soundproofing to a total of 77 homes in Phase I. <br />Contractor Measurement Verifications were conducted on 76 homes by G.E. Chen Construction. <br />The first day of measurements was May 25 and measurements were complete on June 15. One <br />home was not measured due to the fact that it had new double -paned windows and the <br />homeowners agreed that they would not benefit from the acoustical program. <br />Pre -Construction Conference was conducted on June 5 with the Project Team, G.E. Chen <br />Construction and the City of San Leandro Building Department. <br />Submittal Review — Project submittals have all been submitted and approved. <br />Requests for Information (RFI) — 105 RFIs have been submitted by the contractor to date and 105 <br />RFIs have been answered by the Project Team. 19 RFIs have been revised after receipt of <br />additional field information and team collaboration. <br />Aircraft Noise Insulation Projects • Program Management 9 Administrative Services <br />
