Due <br />to the holiday schedule, no construction will be scheduled the last two weeks of December <br />and will resume after the New Year Holiday. <br />• G.E. Chen Construction expects to have all 73 homes finaled and project completed by mid <br />March allowing two weeks for project closeout. <br />PHASE I PARTICIPATION: <br />77 Original Participants <br />minus 1 - Dropped home / new double -paned windows <br />minus 1 - Homeowner requested to be placed in Phase II <br />minus 2 - City HOLD on permits <br />73 Total Phase I Participants <br />PHASE II PARTICIPATION / SELECTION LOTTERY <br />Overview: There are 26 homes slated for Phase II of the program from the first lottery held. <br />Two mass mailings for the 2Ild lottery went to owner -occupied homes in the 56 CNEL area. Total <br />responses to mailings: 40 responses were received and of the 40 responses <br />24 Homes Qualified <br />11 Responded "NO" <br />2 Respondents did not qualify because homes were rentals <br />3 Respondents have not provided all requested documents to prove owner occupancy <br />There are 64 spots remaining to make 200 homes. <br />In addition, there have been homeowner calls requesting participation. These homeowners need to <br />submit documentation to be qualified for participation. This is pending the City's decision on the <br />Phase II selection criteria. <br />The response to these mailings was not as favorable as anticipated. We are now faced with <br />expanding the lottery for the remaining available slots to either rentals in 56 CNEL area or once <br />again offering the program to owner -occupied homes in the North 53, 54 55 or South 55 CNEL <br />areas. <br />56 CNEL RENTALS or 55, 54, 53 CNEL OWNER -OCCUPIED HOMES <br />The acoustic engineer, Vince Mestre of Mestre Greve Associates, as well as C.
