WEST SAN LEANDRO SHUTTLE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ANNUAL REPORT FY 2007-08 <br />A <br />Total Monthly Baardings <br />2o,a00 <br />18,aoa <br />16,a0o <br />14,000 <br />12.000 <br />1 a,0oo <br />a,oo0 <br />6,000 <br />4.000 <br />2,000 <br />LINKS Operation for Fiscal Year 2007-08 <br />The LINKS is currently serviced by two 35-passenger diesel-fueled busses that operate from <br />5:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., five days a week (Monday -Friday). <br />Beginning January 1, 2008, LINKS will be serviced by two 30-passenger gasoline-fueled busses <br />that operate from 5:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., as well as one Compressed <br />Natural Gas (CNG) vehicle that will operate for one hour during the peak morning commute. <br />The SLTMO requires MV Transportation to specify as to the exact amount of diesel, gasoline, <br />and CNG vehicle use on their monthly invoices. The LINKS service consists of a 6.25 mile loop <br />through the central and western areas of San Leandro bounded by Davis Street on the north, <br />Doolittle Drive on the west, Farallon Drive on the south and San Leandro Boulevard on the east. <br />There are currently a total of 11 posted stops along the route at easily accessible sites of major <br />employers, with each run originating and terminating at the San Leandro Main BART station on <br />San Leandro Boulevard (see LINKS route map -Exhibit B). Recently though, in accordance <br />with the BID Advisory Board recommendation, SLTMO staff conducted an analysis of the <br />LINKS policy which allows for intermediate stops on an "informal" basis along the route.
