1 <br />GALVAN <br />6 Jss pGi4TE5 <br />EXHIBIT C -BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB <br />SHUTTLE PROPOSAL <br />Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro Afterschool Shuttle <br />Program Proposal <br />Shuttle Service: The program would allow safe, reliable transportation for <br />students from McKinley, Muir/Wilson and possibly Jefferson schools to <br />access the club for afterschool program. The shuttle route begins at either <br />McKinley or Muir/Wilson schools and ends at the Boys & Girls Club of San <br />Leandro. <br />On Board hlonitorin~: The Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro will <br />provide an adult volunteer to monitor the children for the duration of the <br />service. <br />Hours of Operation/Timing: The shuttle will operate continuously for 2 <br />hours during the week, afterschool. <br />* Shuttle timing subject to occasional train delay <br />Vehicle: The route will be serviced by one shuttle that holds up to 15 <br />passengers. <br />Investment: The $92.50 hourly rate includes one 15 passenger vehicle, <br />professional drivers, gas, maintenance, insurance, and operational <br />management. Program manager, Gordon Galvan, will also work to procure <br />grant funds and/or contributions from local businesses to help off set the cost <br />of the shuttle program. <br />This rate does not include excess vandalism, bus wrapping, signage costs, <br />marketing materials (printed schedules, driver/volunteer monitor uniforms, <br />etc.) <br />Launching Service: This is a tum key service. A vehicle and drivers are <br />ready to go.
