Evaluation of Aquatic Facilities <br />City of San Leandro <br />San Leandro High School <br />8. The San Leandro High Pool lacks a working drinking fountain in the pool area in <br />violation of Title 24, Chapter 31B: <br />3116E Drinking Fountains. One guarded jet drinking fountain shall be provided <br />for the first 250 bathers and an additional fountain shall be provided for each additional <br />200 bathers or fraction thereof. The number of bathers shall be determined according to <br />Section 311 SB.2. <br />A drinking fountain should be added to the facility as required by Title 24. <br />(Estimated Cost $3,000.00) <br />9. The San Leandro High pools lack disabled access in violation of the American <br />Disabilities Act and the California Building Code. Disabled lift anchors can be installed <br />at each pool and a disabled lift can be purchased for use at either pool. The anchors must <br />be bonded as required by article 680 of the National Electric Code. Domestic water lines <br />will need to be provided to each anchor at both pools.
