Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br />No reportable action taken. <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />Mayor Santos reported that at a recent meeting of the Waste Management Authority, <br />members of the Oro Loma Sanitary District Board made a presentation on the District's <br />proposal for an exemption to merging food and yard waste. A group of San Lorenzo <br />High School students attended the meeting to oppose the District's request for <br />exemption. Mayor Santos commented that a "scathing letter" was written by Oro Loma <br />about the incident. Mayor Santos indicated that there appears to be no support by the <br />WIVIA for Oro Loma's position. <br />B. Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br />Councilmember Gregory reported that he attended a town hall meeting on paratransit <br />hosted by Assemblymember Loni Hancock at a senior center in Oakland. He <br />commented that it was a very informative meeting and approximately ] 50 people <br />attended. Councilmember Gregory noted that San Leandro may not be as well-served <br />by paratransit as some other cities in the county. <br />C. Reports on City Council Conunittees <br />1. Airport Committee Meeting of November 2, 2007. Accepted as submitted. <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br />a. Schedule reappointment of Will Fernandez as the San Leandro Citizen <br />Representative to the Oakland Airport/Community Noise Management <br />Forum when other City Council committee appointments are made for 2008. <br />By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. <br />
