CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Mana <br />construct a competition swimming pool at the San Leandro Aquatics Center is $2.5 million, <br />and the City Council will discuss Capital Improvement Program funding for the pool along <br />with other budget priorities at its upcoming retreat. Additionally, the Council has directed <br />staff to work with the San Leandro Unified School District on the San Leandro High School <br />swimming pool. <br /> <br />Regarding the comments about Davis Street made by Ms. Palma, Mr. Jermanis noted that <br />Davis Street is a state highway and controlled by Caltrans. City engineers will work with <br />Caltrans to assess the situation at the Davis Street/I-880 overcrossing to see if there is <br />anything that can be done to improve the situation. <br /> <br />Mr. Jermanis stated that he believed the accounting of the Walnut Drive improvements had <br />already been sent to all Walnut Drive residents by the Engineering and Transportation <br />Department. Mr. Jermanis indicated that a copy of the information would be sent to Mr. <br />Johansen as well as to the City Council. <br /> <br />the possible relocation of Burrell Field, Mr. Jermanis stated that Burrell Field is a joint <br />venture between the City and School District, and no final determination has been made on its <br />relocation. Mr. Jermanis commented on the Eden Road project, which is in the design phase, <br />and MV transportation, which provides various transportation services within the city. <br /> <br />Mr. Jermanis wished the City Council and everyone in the audience a pleasant holiday. <br /> <br />City Attorney Williams joined in wishing everyone happy holidays. She wished Diana <br />Gentry good luck and best wishes. Regarding the comments made by Mr. Filipovich, Ms. <br />Williams clarified that there is no legal requirement under the Brown Act to call speakers in <br />any particular order. She stated that it is the responsibility of the Chair to facilitate the <br />comment portion of the meeting, and the Chair may find it more efficient to organize the <br />speakers by subject matter. <br /> <br /> <br /> 7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Councilmembers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public may request the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar by filling out a speaker card and <br />submitting it to the City Clerk prior to the calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent <br /> <br />
