DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 11 <br />January 22, 2008 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Grant reported that she attended a recent meeting of the Alameda County <br />Housing Authority, and the Authority has started the renovation of its offices. Vice <br />and Governmental Organization Committee, and reported that the Board appointed new <br />President Rose Jacobs Gibson, a San Mateo County Supervisor, and Vice President <br />Mark Green, Mayor of the City of Union City. Vice Mayor Grant announced that <br />several regional agencies will hold a legislative reception on January 30 in Sacramento. <br /> <br />B. Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br /> <br />Councilmember Gregory reported that he attended the most recent meeting in the <br />Transit Oriented Development dinner series. The meeting was facilitated by a Redwood <br />City planner on the subject of demand based parking. The next meeting will be held on <br />April 10 and will address public/private partnerships. <br /> <br />C. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Business and Housing Development Committee Meeting of January 10, 2008. <br />Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation for City Council/Redevelopment Agency Consideration: <br /> <br /> <br />a. Schedule approval of a $140,000 contract with Main Street Property <br />Services, Inc. for implementation of the Downtown San Leandro marketing <br />campaign. <br /> <br />By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. <br /> <br />b. Extend the current Exclusive Right to Negotiate Agreement (ERNA) with <br />John Benjamin Company for six months for the future development of a <br />mixed-use project at 1595 Washington Avenue and 268 Parrott Street. <br /> <br />By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. <br /> <br />Accepted as <br />2.
