EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Background <br />Utilizing information from the 1995 Sanitary Sewer Master Plan and video investigation <br />inspections, the Engineering and Transportation Department previously compiled and <br />categorized a list of sewer projects to be completed. Existing sewer mains are located both in the <br />public Right of Way and on private property. The scope of this contract is related to the <br />repair/rehabilitation to sewer mains located on private property at the following four locations: <br />1. Breed Ave /Beverly Ave <br />2. Dutton Ave / Broadmoor Blvd <br />3. View Drive <br />4. Cleveland Street <br />Improvements to locations 3 and 4 are already developed to 70% completion <br />Scope <br />1. Provide Topographic survey at locations 1 and 2 to determine the precise location of the <br />sewer mains and to document any and all above ground improvements that may hinder <br />repair/rehabilitation <br />2. Review video inspection data <br />3. Discuss improvement options to locations 1 & 2 and prepare preliminary <br />repair/rehabilitation plan <br />4. Develop the preliminary plan into construction drawings <br />5. Prepare construction Specifications in City's standard format using, and in accordance <br />with the Standard Specifications for Public Works, 2006 edition <br />6. Calculate quantities and prepare cost estimate <br />7. Construction support services -provided on an as-directed basis including: <br />a. Assistance through bidding, preparation of addenda, attend pre-bid conference <br />b. Interpret construction documents, review shop drawings, RFPs and other <br />contractor submittals <br />c. Observe construction operations and site conditions <br />Consultant Deliverables <br />Phase 1 -Preliminary Design <br />• Topographical survey - 2 sets; using City's standard borders; <br />• Preliminary improvement plan (location 1 & 2) - 3 sets; on City's standard borders; <br />Phase 2 - 70% Design <br />Sanitary Sewer Pipeline Replacements 2007-08 Dec 21, 2007 <br />Project No. 07-593-52-211 Page 16 of 19 <br />
