MINUTES Page 6 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-January 22, 2008 <br />Council could use the work session as an opportunity to discuss and better determine its <br />policies regarding condominium conversions. <br />City Attorney Williams stated that the public hearing can be continued to a date certain. <br />She suggested continuing the public hearing to a Council meeting date after the work <br />session is held. <br />Community Development Director Luke Sims asked if it would be appropriate to <br />provide additional information to help answer some of the Council's questions when <br />this item is considered again. Ms. Williams indicated that staff could provide a <br />supplemental report that can be introduced into the record when the item is heard again. <br />• Minute Order No. 2008-004, Motion to Continue Public Hearing to March 3, <br />2008. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the Mayor. <br />When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the <br />City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and <br />addresses obtained. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br />listed on the Agenda. <br />Darlene Evans, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on issues <br />with her neighbors, AC Transit and the Police Department's response to pushcart vendors. <br />Harold Perez, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on noise <br />generated by helicopters flying over his neighborhood, the airport noise insulation program <br />and Police Department staffing. <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />City Manager Jermanis commented that the AC Transit Board of Directors holds public <br />meetings, and issues with AC Transit service should be addressed to them.
