IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-011 (2850) <br />RESOLUTION ADDING THE SAN LEANDRO AFRICAN AMERICAN BUSINESS <br />COUNCIL TO THE LIST OF CITY COUNCIL COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT FUND <br />RECIPIENTS <br />WHEREAS, City Council Community Empowerment Funds have been established to <br />provide financial assistance to local community groups, organizations and programs which might <br />benefit from a nominal financial contribution; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a list of organizations and groups which are <br />able to receive discretionary funding from City Council Community Empowerment Funds, as <br />directed by the Mayor or City Councilmembers and approved by the City Manager. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That the San Leandro African American Business Council is hereby added to the list of <br />Community Empowerment Fund Recipients. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Stephens and passed and adopted this 4`h day of February, <br />2008, by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Grant, Gregory, Prola, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Santos (~) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (~) <br />ATTEST: r~~~,~ <br />T <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
