MINUTES <br />Page 11 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-March 17, 2008 <br />Mayor Santos announced that tonight's meeting would be adjourned in memory of several <br />individuals: Kristy Gough, the cyclist and Olympic hopeful who was struck and killed by a <br />Sheriff's Deputy patrol car; Angelo Luengo, along-time San Leandran and former Recreation <br />and Parks Commissioner; Phil Long, a former Traffic and Civil Engineer and Public Works <br />Director for the City; Berta Gill Bueno, sister of Val Gill; Ed Voorhees, long-time San <br />Leandran who was active in several local clubs and other organizations; Mary Sarafian, 99- <br />year old mother-in-law of Human Services Commissioner Alice Sarafian; Patricia Zajec, who <br />managed the former San Leandro boatworks and was a member of the Spinnaker Yacht Club; <br />Bill Perras, former Planning Commission and Recreation and Parks Commission member; <br />Robert "Joe" Chastain, who was a close personal fiiend and fishing buddy of Bill Perras; and <br />Betty Jean Kopacz, long-time San Leandro resident and wife of Stan Kopacz. <br />13.
