2. Report from Airport Noise Management and Environmental Management Saprvisor on <br />Noise Office's Goals and Objectives, and the Noise Office's New Website <br />Larry Galindo and Wayne Bryant from the Airport's Noise Office provided an overview of <br />their goals for the coming year: <br />• Focusing on stabilizing office staffing to include 3 full-time staff plus a supervisor. <br />• Conduct more outreach to pilots to reinforce their cooperation with noise abatement <br />procedures. <br />• Closer coordination with the FAA for noise abatement procedures. <br />• Enhancement of the technical equipment to improve flight/pilot monitoring. <br />Enhancements to the airport's website were demonstrated from www.oaklandairport.com. <br />The website includes: <br />• The addition of North Field and South Field Group meeting agendas and minutes. <br />• Real-time flight tracking option so residents may look-up flight patterns themselves. <br />• A comprehensive listing of noise abatement procedures, National FAA reports on <br />technology, Local and regional studies, local noise monitoring reports, and more. <br />There is a direct link from the City's website page on Airport Noise to the airport's website. <br />There were questions from Committee members regarding departures from Runway 9R and <br />efforts to keep the flights more over the bay for as long as possible. Larry Galindo reported <br />that the Noise Office is working directly with the North Field's primary tenant, Ameriflight, to <br />instruct their pilots on a more neighborly departure route. <br />Larry Galindo extended an invitation to the Committee members to attend a tour of the <br />Northern California TRACON offices in Sacramento on May 27. <br />Public Comments <br />John Manuel had a question regarding fuel costs. <br />Committee Recommendations <br />None <br />3. Report from Airport Noise Management Office on FedEx's Retirement of 727s from the <br />OAK Fleet <br />Larry Galindo repeated a report made by a FedEx representative at the last Noise Forum <br />meeting that FedEx is focusing on the year 2015 to retire all of its 727s from its entire fleet. <br />Cost of fuel and aircraft efficiency could accelerate this plan. However, the FedEx <br />representative would not commit to any other retirement strategy at this time. <br />
