Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 Ordinance No. 2008-005, an Ordinance Amending Title 2, Chapter 13, Section 2-13-140 of the San Leandro Municipal Code to Provide for an Adjustment to the Emergency Medical Services Tax (EMS Tax) Based on the Annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) Increase (increases the EMS Tax from $13.69 to $14.21, by 3.8%, per Benefit Unit, to be effective July 1, 2008). Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 Ordinance No. 2008-006, an Ordinance Amending Title 2, Chapter 2, Section 2- 2-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code Relating to Business License Fees and Its Annual Adjustment to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) (increases the Business License Tax by 3.8%, to be effective July 1, 2008). (1203) Passed to print M/S/C Grant and Prola. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 4. PUBLIC HEARINGS-JOINT CITY COUNCIL/ REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY None. 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the Mayor. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT listed on the Agenda. Martin A. Francis, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, inviting the Council to the annual Flag Day ceremony, which will be held at the San Leandro Library on June 14, 2008. Mr. Francis also provided written invitations to the Council. Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the manner in which agenda items are listed, and stating that City Council meetings should be conducted separately from Redevelopment Agency meetings.
