IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) AGREEMENTS <br />FOR FY 2008-2009 BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND CDBG SUBRECIPIENTS FOR <br />PUBLIC SERVICES GRANTS TO BUILDING FUTURES WITH WOMEN AND CHILDREN (SAN <br />LEANDRO SHELTER); DAVIS STREET FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER; PROJECT LITERACY; AND, <br />EDEN COUNCIL, FOR HOPE AND OPPORTUNITY FOR FAIR HOUSING SERVICES AND <br />LANDLORD-TENANT COUNSELING. <br />CDBG public services agreements between the City of San Leandro and Building Futures <br />With Women and Children (BFWC -San Leandro Shelter), Davis Street Family Resource Center <br />(DSFRC), Project Literacy, and Eden Council for Hope and Opportunity (ECHO) for fair housing <br />services and landlord-tenant counseling services, copies of which are attached, have been presented <br />to this Council. <br />The City Council is familiar with the contents thereof. <br />The City Manager has recommended the approval of said agreements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreements are hereby approved and execution thereof are hereby authorized for <br />the CDBG public services grant amounts of $30,000 for BFWC's San Leandro Shelter, $26,151 for <br />DSFRC, $30,000 for Project Literacy, $29,750 for ECHO's landlord-tenant services, and $14,000 <br />for ECHO's fair housing services. <br />Introduced by Council Member and passed and adopted this <br />16th day of June, 2008, by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />Attest: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
