MINUTES Page 5 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-May 19, 2008 <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the June <br />Primary Election ballot and the City Council election, and recent City Council closed session <br />notices. <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />City Attorney Jayne Williams reported that the City Council held a closed session following <br />its regular meeting on May 5, 2008. There were no reportable actions taken in the closed <br />session. <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br />City Councilmembers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public may request the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar by filling out a speaker card and <br />submitting it to the City Clerk prior to the calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent <br />Calendar. Items remaining on the Consent Calendar will be considered for approval under <br />one motion. <br />Councilmember Prola commented on Item 8.N., suggesting that when performing the LEED <br />certification feasibility study, the consultant also provide the LEED requirements necessary <br />for, and probable design and construction costs associated with, obtaining a higher than <br />minimum level of certification. <br />Councilmember Starosciak pointed out that Andrew Sequeira is the correct name of the Eagle <br />Scout mentioned in the minutes. Councilmember Starosciak encouraged the City to combine <br />projects in such a way as to ensure minimal disruption when performing the undergrounding <br />of utilities. <br />Mayor Santos commented on the unsightly overhead cables installed by Comcast, and stated <br />that there should be follow up on the matter. <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Items 8.F., 8.G., and 8.H. Items will be <br />considered under Item 9, Items Removed from Consent Calendar. <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br />
