a. Section 3.2.3.2 as referenced in Section 12 of Section 2316.2 is amended to read as Section <br />3.2.3.3 <br />b. Section 12 is amended by adding the following on to the end of the paragraph: <br />Cantilevered portions of beams less than 4 inches {102 mm) in nominal thickness shall not be <br />notched unless the reduced section properties and lumber defects are considered in the <br />design. For effects of notch on-shear strength, see Section 3.4.4 <br />b. Section 14 of Section 2316.2 is deleted. <br />c. Section 26 of Section 2316.2 is deleted. <br />d. Section 27 of Section 2316.2 is deleted. <br />Section 7-5-196: DELETION OF DNISION V OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE CALIFORNIA <br />BUILDING CODE. Division V of Chapter 22 of the California Building Code is hereby deleted. <br />Section 3. Severability. <br />If any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of the <br />Ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, invalid, or ineffective by any court of <br />competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity or effectiveness of the <br />remaining portions of this Ordinance or any part hereof. The City Council hereby declares that it <br />would have passed each section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause phrase of <br />the Ordinance irrespective of the fact that one or more of them would be declared <br />unconstitutional or invalid. To this end, the provisions of the Ordinance are declared to be <br />severable. <br />14 <br />
