DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 4 <br />June 16, 2008 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />efforts. <br /> <br />Councilmember Souza noted that one of the primary factors determining residential <br />water use is the number of persons in the household. Director Linney commented that <br />the district does not have that information, and so can only base residential water use <br />goals on previous water use. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak was informed by a constituent that at the San Leandro <br />Ballpark, the water in the urinals flows constantly. She suggested that EBMUD could <br />perform a water survey at the ballpark. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Stephens commented that his wife recently saw a commode with a sink <br />over the tank, which used the water from the sink to flush the toilet. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos commented that the City is doing its part to conserve water. The City <br />struction work for the <br />Water Pollution Control Plant Effluent Irrigation Project. The project will result in the <br />use of 98 million gallons of recycled water a year at the Monarch Bay Golf Course, <br />instead of high quality EBMUD water. <br /> <br />Director Linney expressed appreciation to the City for its cooperation in moving the <br />downsized Bayside Groundwater Project forward. <br /> <br />B. <br />Leandro. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos noted that the national Dump the Pump Day is a one-day event on June <br />19 this year; however, he has declared it a two-day event for San Leandro. Mayor <br />Santos urged everyone not to buy gas on those two days. <br /> <br /> <br /> 3.
