Councilmember Souza noted that one of the primary factors determining residential water use is the number of persons in the household. Director Linney commented that the district does not have that information, and so can only base residential water use goals on previous water use. Councilmember Starosciak was informed by a constituent that at the San Leandro Ballpark, the water in the urinals flows constantly. She suggested that EBMUD could perform a water survey at the ballpark. Vice Mayor Stephens commented that his wife recently saw a commode with a sink over the tank, which used the water from the sink to flush the toilet. Mayor Santos commented that the City is doing its part to conserve water. The City struction work for the Water Pollution Control Plant Effluent Irrigation Project. The project will result in the use of 98 million gallons of recycled water a year at the Monarch Bay Golf Course, instead of high quality EBMUD water. Director Linney expressed appreciation to the City for its cooperation in moving the downsized Bayside Groundwater Project forward. B. Leandro. Mayor Santos noted that the national Dump the Pump Day is a one-day event on June 19 this year; however, he has declared it a two-day event for San Leandro. Mayor Santos urged everyone not to buy gas on those two days. 3.
