MINUTES Page 6 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-June 16, 2008 <br />Public Comments on the Consent Calendar: <br />Charles Gilcrest, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, stating that he is the <br />Chair of the Joint Project Area Redevelopment Advisory Committee, and commenting on <br />Consent Calendar Item 8.F. Mr. Gilcrest stated that while he did not oppose either the project <br />or the bond issuance, he felt that the Council was embarking on a slippery slope. Mr. Gilcrest <br />commented that this was the first time the Council has considered using funding from one <br />redevelopment project area for a project in another area, based on the benefit received to the <br />project area that is providing the funding. <br />End of Public Comments on the Consent <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Item 8.C. Item will be considered under <br />Item 9, Items Removed from Consent Calendar. <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br />minutes for all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by <br />title. <br />Item 8.C. was removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9, Items Removed from <br />Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved by <br />the following vote: <br />M/S/C Grant and Prola. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />A. Minutes of the Meeting of June 2, 2008. Matter of Appointment of City Councilmembers to Intergovernmental Agencies. <br />• Minute Order No. 2008-018, Motion Approving the Appointment of <br />Councilmember Grant as Representative and Councilmember Gregory as <br />Alternate to the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) for Two-Year <br />Terms from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2010. (1003) <br />The City Council approved the appointment of Councilmember Grant as <br />Representative and Councilmember Gregory as Alternate to the Association <br />of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) for two-year terms from July 1, 2008 to <br />June 30, 2010. <br />
