Jermanis <br />Ci anager <br />Kathy Ornelas, Community Relations Representative ~~ <br />SUBJECT PROJECT/PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />RESOLUTION ADDING SAN LEANDRO PACKS AND TROOPS OF THE BOY SCOUTS <br />OF AMERICA AND THE GIRL SCOUTS OF AMERICA TO THE LIST OF CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVED COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT FUND RECIPIENTS <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that San Leandro Packs and Troops of the Boy Scouts of America and the <br />Girl Scouts of America be added to the list of City Council Approved Community Empowerment <br />Fund Recipients <br />BACKGROUND <br />Analysis <br />Packs and Troops of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts have been organized in San Leandro for many <br />years, providing personal growth and development opportunities to the youth of San Leandro. <br />Current City Council Policy <br />The Community Empowerment Fund Guidelines in the Council Members Handbook allow for <br />the addition of community groups or organizations to the list of approved Community <br />Empowerment Fund Recipients with City Council approval. <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />None <br />City Council Committee Review and Action <br />None <br />Auplicable General Plan Policy <br />N/A <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />N/A <br />
